Brief - To provide temporary luxury loos for a one night event on the first floor of a Grade I listed building that are self-contained, requiring no modifications being made to the building.

Solution - IGLOOS® used their high quality Panelled range for this brief; the space allocated was very limited and required absolute accuracy in the design. The restricted access to the loo area meant that all the components had to be carried up the stairs manually as there was no lift.

The room assigned for the loos had a marble fireplace and original wooden floorboards that had to be taken into consideration during the build. Wood effect linoleum was laid on top of the floor within the loo area as protection and the walls were built around the fireplace to the extremes of the room.

There were stringent time constraints for this project, with access being between 6pm and 6am. The site crew installed the loos at 6pm the night before the party, and it was broken down at 2am following the event. Staff at IGLOOS®, used to working to tight deadlines and build restrictions, therefore were able to meet the clients requirements effectively and achieve the specified result enhancing the end users experience at the venue.

On this occasion IGLOOS® was able to pump the waste to the mains drain outside via pipes through a window. Mains water was also available. If the mains drainage had not been accessible the vacuum system would have been installed and the waste would have been collected in vacuum tanks.
